Rosie engages in a direct and intuitive process of artmaking that relies on inspiration from the material itself and allows subconscious themes to show themselves in the work. Carving stone has become her primary medium while painting, drawing, and installations still hold a place in her practice. 

 

 Her life began in the mountains of Colorado and has meandered through many states and countries so far. She currently splits her time between Taos, NM and Marble, CO.

 

Rosie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, works at the MARBLE/marble carving symposium each summer, and has shown work in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Peru.
